Honestly it was a God thing. I had been thinking a Honestly it was a God thing. I had been thinking about trying to make bread from fresh milled ancient grain for a while. I thought I might be able to tolerate it even with my autoimmune issues. I had been gluten-free for 8 years, but I wasn't about to drop $$$ on a grain mill just to find out if I could eat fresh milled bread. Forget the mill, I wasn't sure how I'd get my hands on ancient grain in Honduras. We were at a coffee shop in Honduras and they had one last bag of Emmer wheat. I hadn't noticed it there before, and I haven't seen it since. I bought it, I had no clue how I was going to make it into bread, but I decided to try. That's what started me making bread in my blender. Who knew that you didn't need tons of specialized tools to make bread? Turns out, you can make bread, muffins, quick bread, porridge and so much more from whole grain wheat berries just using your blender. ___ Bread making, homemade pantry, sahm
