I love using Farmers We Know oats by @onedegreeorganics ! They are organic, glyphosate free, and sprouted. Eating sprouted grains lowers the phytic acid and makes them easier to digest and get all the nutrients. So it really is the best bang for your buck!

So, what is your bing eating spirit animal? Mine is a raccoon 🦝😂

Recipe:
3 cups Oats (organic + sprouted are best!)
3 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
2 cups nuts (I like walnuts and pecans)
2/3 cups Honey
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla
After baking:
1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)

Mix oats, nuts, and coconut together in a large bowl.
In a small sauce pan add the rest of the ingredients and simmer on low for 2-3 minutes.
Mix into the dry ingredients.
Add to two baking trays and bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes stirring half way through.
Let cool and add in raisins or chocolate chips.

Makes about 2 lbs of granola.

Hi, I'm Sonora I'm a mom of two on the mission field, and I work with the deaf of western Honduras. And. My insta has been a lot of things through the years, but I'd thought I'd give it one last try.

if you're new, I'm so glad you're here! If you've been here a while I'm so glad you've stuck around!

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's autoimmune condition when I was 20 and spent 8 years off and on the AIP diet avoiding gluten, dairy, and a whole host of foods.

A couple years ago the Bible brought me back to bread. And the story is a little longer but basically the fact that Jesus claimed to be the bread of life, and bread was also my enemy just didn't make sense to me.

The more I learned about grain the more I realized that it could be so life giving when done the way God intended it.

Since then I've been on a journey of bringing different "inflammatory" foods back into my diet in a traditional way.

Because some foods weren't always "inflammatory."

I'm not looking for the fast and easy way. I'm looking for the real nourishing way.

Y'all, things are changing around here, and I migh Y'all, things are changing around here, and I might just have become the next bread evangelist... So what's your relationship with bread? Were you part of the gluten-free bandwagon too?🙋🏻‍♀️
As a gluten-free girly for 8 years of my life, thi As a gluten-free girly for 8 years of my life, this is the loaf that got me back on bread. I highly recommend using an ancient grain like Einkorn or Emmer which have a simpler gluten structure and are easier to digest.

I get my grain from @grandtetonfamily They are a small family farm just trying to grow grain the way God intended it.

If you want links to the products I use for my bread making, just comment below! I'll DM them to you, but it'll be analog (not automated) so it may take a minute to get them!

Recipe:

1 lb wheat berries
1 tsp instant yeast*
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons salt

Soak the wheat berries for 8-12 hours by covering them with water about an inch above the grain. Cover with a tea towel and leave on the counter.

To sprout, drain off the excess water and cover with a tea towel. Leave on the counter for 8-12 hours.

For the dough, blend the grain with honey and salt. The dough will be sticky.

In a large bowl mix dough with yeast and let rise for 1-2 hours until it doubles in size.

Add to bread pans and let rise for another 30 minutes to an hour.

Bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 350.

* You can use dry active yeast, you'll just need to proof it in 1/4 cup of warm water with the honey.
