Sand and sea, you and me. Breathing in the ocean a Sand and sea, you and me. Breathing in the ocean air and being thankful for these moments⛱️🌊🌞

We got away to the beach for a missionary retreat a few weeks ago. Working in ministry, life can feel very go, go, go full steam ahead. There is always work to be done and you always feel like there is not enough of you to reach everyone. 

It was good to step away, to breathe, to enjoy each other's company, and to be still and know that He is still God. 

And even if I am not doing and working, God still is, and I can rest in that.

I love fall, but I also don't love being sick. Thi I love fall, but I also don't love being sick. This immune boosting golden tea is my favorite go to when I'm under stress, a little sleep deprived, feeling under the weather, or want something warming and relaxing. 

I actually adapted this recipe from a friend who grew up in Kenya. She said they would use a similar tea anytime someone was sick. 

You can tweak the ingredients to fit your taste, Strain it or drink it as, and drink it with or without honey. I always have a jar on hand year round. It stays good in the fridge for about a month.

I did it all wrong. So it's time for a change. I I did it all wrong. So it's time for a change. 

I followed the formula, I niched down, and I did what I could to be a successful AIP blogger. I looked at other successful bloggers in my space and tried to emulate what made them successful. But I was trying to fit myself into a mold that I just didn't fit. 

I felt like I couldn't find my voice. I felt weird posting anything that wasn't food content. I felt like I needed to be an expert on something before I shared about it. I felt like I couldn't share anything that didn't apply to  the AIP diet. 

But I've realized this, I want to share more than food for the body, I also want to share food for thought, and food for the soul. 

So we're starting over here. 

Hi, I'm Sonora Lindsey. I'm a wife, a mom, but most importantly, a follower of Christ. I'm a Texas girl born and raised, and I bleed red white and blue. But I've been called to live in Honduras and teach sign language to the deaf.

I care about health because God does. I believe that as christians we are called to be healthy in our hearts, minds, souls, and our bodies. 

Don't worry, I'll still be sharing lots about food, health, and wellness. But expect to see more real life around here, thoughts on culture, Christianity, women, motherhood.

So take a seat at the table, this is a space where I hope you feel nourished-- mind, body, and soul.
