Sometimes motherhood feels like you're going, goin Sometimes motherhood feels like you're going, going, going, and nothing is getting done. Sometimes It feels like everyone needs you all at the same time and there isn't enough of you to go around.

But motherhood with littles is such a special season, and I don't want to wake up one day and feel like I missed it.

So I'll hold the baby, read them the stories, play the games, comfort them when they cry.

Because in the end you won't remember the messy house, but the time you spent with your babies❤️

When life hands you a giant bag of field corn you When life hands you a giant bag of field corn you make Fritas de Elote.

Here's what you need:
5-6 Ears of corn (about 2 cups)
1 egg
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Tablespoons coconut milk
1 Tablespoon Honey
Pinch of salt

Blend your corn with the egg and butter. Then add the rest of the ingredients. If your battery is too thin, add some corn meal and if it's too thick add more milk!

Cook in a buttered skillet for about 2-3 minutes each side.

Serve with honey and butter!

Shout out to Juana not Juana for making my dreams, that I didn't even know I had, come true 🌽

Hi there, I'm Sonora. I'm a wife, mom, and Texas g Hi there, I'm Sonora. I'm a wife, mom, and Texas girl turned Honduran missionary, just trying to find ways to feed my family healthy whole foods.

I believe health doesn't have to break the bank, that there is wisdom in tradition, and that if God made it that way it must be good.

I'm always looking for ways to live a healthier life without overcomplicating things. I love a good home DIY and sometimes get a little in over my head, but if Jo can do it, I can too. Right?😅

I grew up with the American mindset of go, go, go. Plan, plan, plan. We want things and we want it yesterday. But I've learned a little something in Honduras...

It's ok to slow down. There is an art to doing things by hand. Relationships are more important than the deadline.

So join me in my mission to deinfluence you.

Pull up a seat at the table, join the conversation, and welcome to my little corner of the internet.

JULY: The ebbs and flows of this lovely life. Wh JULY: The ebbs and flows of this lovely life.

What a blessing it is to have your little family grow. This past month and a half has been unwashed dishes, unfolded laundry, and unswept floors. While overwhelming at the time, it is all forgotten to the joy of a new little soul.

Everything is changing, but only as it should be.

I will be still and know that He is God.
I always wanted to be a mom, but somewhere along t I always wanted to be a mom, but somewhere along the way I got convinced that getting a 9-5, joining corporate America, and breaking glass ceilings was something I wanted more.

It looked glamorous. It was praised. It was the boss babe, cool girl, heels and pants suit, kinda vibe.

I thought I don't *just* want to be a mom.

But something changed. I decided not to chase the boss girl life, and I wouldn't miss this for the world.
