Did you know that you don't need a grain mill to s Did you know that you don't need a grain mill to start making sourdough bread from whole grain wheat berries?

All you need is a blender a kitchen scale, and a little bit of time! Here's how I feed my sourdough starter fresh grain without using a grain mill.

Are you a fan of sourdough bread or instant yeast bread?

Do you feel like you make enough space for silence in your life?

And why does this feel like I'm writing myself a dating profile?😂

So tell me, what are ya in here for?

And before we knew it, we'd outsourced motherhood to big business.

I'm done with companies gaslighting us when it com I'm done with companies gaslighting us when it comes to toxins in their products. "There's no science to prove harm." So obviously we have no grounds to be concerned.

But the Lord gave us brains for a reason.

Sometimes "the science" is just catching up to what we already know.

I know it can feel overwhelming and like big business has taken over every facet of our lives, but industry in America still exists.

So what are practical ways I'm leaving big business behind?

1) Learning more about the harms and better alternatives. Know better do better. I'm not perfect with finding the best nontoxic products, but I'm always looking for clean affordable swaps.

2) Making things at home. I love the convenience of buying things, but I don't want to trade my health for convenience. When I can I try to bake from scratch, make my own cleaning products, or other household items.

3) supporting businesses that are doing things right. I know smaller businesses can be more expensive, but when I see people going the extra mile to bring a healthy product to market, I want to support them instead of the businesses that don't care if they poison us.
